Rebecca Sussman is a graduate of Penn State with a drama degree. Yvan and her met while opening Lavo with the Tao group. Rebecca opened Tao as a hostess and climbed the ranks to become their head Maitre D’ . Rebecca then lead the team as the Head Maitre D’ to open Tao downtown in the meatpacking district. Having successfully opened Tao Downtown Rebecca was then asked to help open Avra Madison. She stayed with the company until Yvan and her decided to open a space of their own.
